The Habs Online: The Best Blogs, Youtube Channels & Podcasts

The Montreal Canadiens are one of the most-storied franchises in professional sports. Their 24 Stanley Cup banners hanging in the rafters of the Bell Centre are not there strictly for decoration – they represent the ultimate team success: Championship Glory.

With that kind of history, needless to say, the Habs Online presence is just as glorious. From terrific fan-based online magazines w/ dedicated, passionate authors to informative and entertaining video & audio Podcasts, the Montreal Canadiens online presence can be a wonderland for a rabid fan.

Whether you’re a casual fan or a die-hard supporter, these Habs Links will provide you with all the information you need to stay in the loop!

After a deep-dive into everything Habs Online that I could find, I’ve collected – what I believe – are to be the best Montreal Canadiens audio podcasts, video podcasts & fan-based online magazines & Montreal Canadiens LIVE streaming links that are updated frequently w/ fresh video links and original Habs content.

Habs Video Podcasts

Since Tony Marinaro left the radio world to enter the podcast world, The Sick Podcast w/ Tony Marinaro has quickly become the go-to Youtube channel to get your daily Habs fix. Tony’s guest-list is impressive and he’s always in-tune w/ everything to do w/ the Montreal Canadiens.

Another terrific Habs video podcast is Hockey Nation LIVE Show hosted by ‘Coach Frenchie‘ .. coach is an ex-Quebecer currently living in Thailand and he offers a nightly, 2hr+ video podcast recapping Habs news, providing analysis and slowly building a passionate community of Montreal Canadiens fans.

If you’re looking for a more comedic-take on daily Habs news, HABS JUNKIE is an amusing video podcast quickly building a strong following.

Habs Online Magazines

Based on the amount of Montreal Canadiens online magazines, it’s safe to say that there’s a lot of talented writers, reporters and web developers that are massive Habs fans.

Habs on The Prize, is a terrific collection of talented, young writers that used to contribute their Montreal Canadiens content on SBNation‘s Network of fansites. Since VoxMedia (Parent Company of SBNation) laid off a bunch of workers and pretty much nuked their hockey content, all the Habs writers & their posts were migrated over to Habs on The Prize.

A similar story is The Hockey News – Habs Section – where the crew of RocketSports Media (Amy Johnson, Rick Stephens & Chris Galanopoulos) all moved over to THN. If you’re interested in keeping up with Laval Rocket news, the coverage and content from the THN crew is hard to match. Their audio & video podcasts are also terrific.

A Winning Habit is part of the FANZINE Network of fan-based, sports content. Terrific collection of passionate writers penning some terrific Habs-related content.

Habs Audio Podcasts

If exercising, riding a bike, going for a walk or just relaxing in bed while listening to audio podcasts is your thing, you’ll have enough Habs talk to last you a while.

For daily talk, The Sick Podcast w/ Tony Marinaro is a perfect little Habs distraction while sipping on your morning cup of coffee. Tony always brings the heat, the humor and the terrific guests to keep you updated on all the happenings within the Habs universe.

Amy Johnson’s The Press Zone podcast is a brilliant look at Habs prospects playing in the AHL w/ the Laval Rocket and other minor leagues.
