Why was a NAZI honored in the Canadian House of Commons?
Friday, September, 22, 2023 will be a day that will live in Canadian infamy. The day that Canadian politicians all stood up in unison and gave a rousing, standing ovation to a literal NAZI.
The Internet was ablaze on Sunday as the disturbing news started to quickly spread leaving everyone feeling dumbfounded, shaking their heads in confusion while all asking the same question: ‘Why was a NAZI invited to the Canadian House of Commons and honored w/ a standing ovation?
Canadians of all political stripes were demanding answers and immediate accountability for this historically embarrassing blunder. Meanwhile, the rest of the World was laughing at us.
Was this just a horrific lack of vetting or is it more systematic of an issue that Canada has never really dealt with: Canada’s NAZI problem?
In this article, I hope to answer a few of those lingering questions.
…………..
• How did he end up in Canada?
• Why do modern-day MPs believe that people that fought vs the Russians in WW2 were the ‘good guys’?
…………..
Canadian parliament just gave a standing ovation to a 98 yr old SS Nazi. Why? Because he was a Nazi who *fought against Russia in Ukraine.

Yaroslav Hunk fought for the 14th division of the Waffen SS.
This is how deep the anti-Russia gaslighting has gotpic.twitter.com/3RZwoBDpE1

“In July, 1941, the German army occupied Berezhany. We greeted the German soldiers w/ joy.”
~Yaroslav Hunka
WHO IS THIS NAZI IN THE HOUSE OF COMMONS?
Well, his name is Yaroslav Hunka.
In 1943, along with 80,000 young, Ukrainian men, Hunka eagerly volunteered for the Waffen-SS Galicia Division – or the SS 14th Waffen Division, later renamed to First Ukrainian Division, a voluntary infantry unit that was under the command of the Nazis.
They were trained & armed by the SS and had to swear an oath to Adolf Hitler. They were deployed to Slovakia, Yugoslavia, and Austria where they fought the resistors to NAZI rule. Along the way they may have massacred a bunch of civilians – historians estimate the number to be in the thousands.
“In 2003 a Polish government commission into Nazi war crimes concluded the 14th SS Galicia was responsible for the massacre of women and children in the village of Huta Pieniacka. Based on eye witness accounts, the Polish Institute of National Remembrance, pointed out that members of the 14th division, entered the village and began executing civilians.” ~ WHITEWASHING THE SS
After the War, Yaroslav Hunka, was among 8,ooo remaining members of the SS unit that were secretly moved to the United Kingdom. They were spread out in small towns and villages throughout Britain to ensure that the public outcry that would occur to the knowledge of having War criminals in their midst was kept as silent as possible.
Hunka settled in Northamptonshire, UK for several years, working as an aircraft fitter. There he met Margaret Ann Edgerton and in 1951, the couple married.
In 1954, they emigrated from the UK and they settled in Toronto, Ontario. They raised their two sons, Martin and Peter, and became active members of the Ukrainian-Canadian community.
This Ukrainian-Canadian community would play a prominent role in Mr Hunka being invited to the Canadian Parliament on that fateful day but more about that later on in this article.

“I am very proud to say that Mr. Hulka is from North Bay and from my riding of Nipissing-Timiskaming.. He is a Ukrainian hero, a Canadian hero, and we thank him for all his service.”
~ Anthony Rota
WHO INVITED THIS NAZI IN THE HOUSE OF COMMONS?
Anthony Rota, The Speaker of the House – an MP in the Ontario riding of Nipissing—Timiskaming – is the person that ‘invited’ Yaroslav Hunka to be recognized that day as “a Ukrainian hero, a Canadian hero”, prompting MPs and dignitaries in the House to offer a prolonged standing ovation.
As part of Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky’s fund-raising tour of NATO-connected, Western Nations, a visit to Canada was next on the itinerary. He was invited by The Liberal Party into the House of Commons to be applauded for taking Canadian money to continue the Proxy War against Russia.
The Ukraine community in Canada is well-connected politically – especially to Chrystia Freeland – so there was a large Ukrainian delegation there, to meet and greet Zelensky.
Part of the delegation was Jaroslav Hunk and his family. His son floated the idea of having his father recognized and somehow that message got to Anthony Rota – that’s the ONLY information that we have, so far.
By Sunday afternoon, the public anger grew to a fever-pitch so Mr Rota was forced to make a statement.
Via his Speaker of The House Twitter account, Rota offered the following apology.

Needless to say, that apology did absolutely nothing to explain HOW this horrific situation came to be and calls for Mr Rota’s immediate resignation began to increase.
The following day he resigned.

“After WW2 came the Cold War and Canada was worried about Communists. The NAZIS had fought the Communists, so, NAZIS, even War Criminals apparently, had an easy time emigrating to Canada.”
~Irving Abella
HOW DID A NAZI END UP IN CANADA?
The Waffen-SS Galicia Division surrendered to the British army in 1945, and just over 8,000 men were moved to the United Kingdom in 1947.
In 1950, the federal cabinet decided to allow Ukrainians living in the U.K. to come to Canada “notwithstanding their service in the German army provided they are otherwise admissible. These Ukrainians should be subject to special security screening, but should not be rejected on the grounds of their service in the German army.”
According to the Simon Weisenhal Center, the United kingdom unloaded 5,000 former SS members into Canada. They were labeled as ‘anti-Communists’ and their past sins were barely investigated.
In 1985, then-prime minister Brian Mulroney called for a royal commission to examine whether Canada had become a haven for war criminals.
The Deschênes Commission found there were about 600 former members of the Waffen-SS Galicia Division living in Canada at the time. But Justice Jules Deschenes said membership in the division did not itself constitute a war crime.

WHO IS CHRYSTIA FREELAND?
The Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Finance of Canada is a unique individual, indeed.
Is Chrystia Freeland the Grand-daughter of a NAZI collaborator?
After serving as one of Hitler’s top Ukrainian propagandists in occupied Poland, Michael Chomiak joined thousands of Nazi collaborators on the ratline to Canada during the 1950s.
Following Chomiak’s death in 1984, his granddaughter, Chrystia Freeland, followed in his footsteps as a reporter for various Ukrainian nationalist publications.
Is Chrystia Freeland a WhiteWasher of Ukrainian Nazi Sins?
Freeland was an early contributor to the Encyclopedia of Ukraine, which was edited by her grandfather’s former boss in Poland, the Nazi collaborator and ethnic cleansing advocate Volodymyr Kubijovyč. Next, she took a staff position at the Edmonton-based Ukrainian News, where Chomiak had served as editor.
A 1988 edition of Ukrainian News featured an article co-authored by Freeland, followed by an ad for a book called “Fighting for Freedom” which glorified the Ukrainian Waffen-SS Galician division.
Did Chrystia Freeland interview Vladimir Putin?
She most certainly did.
‘Meet the cuddly, cooing president’
Putin’s first year – Chrystia Freeland finds the man in the Kremlin on a charm offensive, but sadly
Is Chrystia Freeland connected to the WEF?
Since 2019, Chrystia Freeland has sat on the board of trustees of the WEF.
The former-journalist-turned-politician has been a fixture at the WEF for years. Rubbing shoulders at Davos with the world’s rich, famous and powerful was one of the inspirations for her 2012 book, Plutocrats: The Rise of the New Global Super-Rich and the Fall of Everyone Else.
These board memberships are far from symbolic. According to the WEF, the board of trustees “act as guardians of its mission and values” and are its “highest-level governance body.”
